Inexorable world of acne
Acne is an inevitable part of growing up and every adolescent has some time or the other during this turbulent period faced an attack of acne. It is generally due to hormonal imbalances during adolescence. Acne (acne vulgaris) is a cosmetic skin condition caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland).Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, blemishes, or zits. Acne is a hazardous disease – it leaves its footprints that rarely disappear from a person’s face. Many people struggle from all walks of life, trying to overcome their acne problems. It can be very difficult especially for teenagers as their bodies are ever changing, which makes it difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the acne. Acne is generally caused to the face and neck, but also can affect the chest and back.
